AmKin Technologies

tube drilling equipmentAt AmKin Technologies our goals are to advance the utilization of coil tubing technologies and coil tube directional drilling. Through innovation and design, AmKin consistently seeks to develop new equipment and components to support the CT market. This includes the manufacturing of Coil Tubing units for oil and gas operations, civil construction river crossing drilling and shallow depth geothermal units. AmKin also supplies support items such as coil tubing connectors, backreamers, and directional tools.

The focused effort at AmKin Technologies has allowed for the innovative design of component systems that assist the operators to become more efficient and versatile with coil tubing drilling applications. AmKin strives to allow the application of coil tubing to be utilized in all aspects of drilling, whether it be oil and gas; river crossing, or geothermal solution. Advantages of DCT HDD Technology:

DCT technology drilling provides many benefits due to the simple fact that there are no pipe joints to be connected or disconnected. Therefore, all of the time in the hole can be dedicated to drilling, reaming, or in hole operations. This principle alone provides for an approximate 15-20% increase in daily production. Incorporated with the fact that there are no tool joints tube drilling equipmentand additional pipe to add to the process, the overall safety of crew is greatly increased. The majority of all on site accidents dealing drilling applications occur at the point of tool or pipe connections. Misuse of torque wrenches and tongs attribute to increased safety issues. This element has been removed from the DCT units.

Environmental concerns are becoming an ever increasing factor in the drilling industry. The containment and clean up of drilling muds and fluids attribute to additional job site costs. There is a potential decrease in mud spillage with the DCT units, again due to the fact that there are no joints, and that the DCT units utilize a cleaning pump system. Due to the cleaning system, water consumption can be greatly reduced due to recycling, thus decreasing potential environmental issues.
